Rare original 1930 press photo of the Aeronca C-3, one of the first successful low-cost light monoplanes, landing at Roosevelt Field, NY. Piloted by Stanley C. Huffman, this small aircraft completed a non-stop cross-country flight from Cincinnati using only 2½ gallons of fuel, a remarkable feat in early aviation. The Aeronca C-3 became one of the most popular personal aircraft of its time, representing the transition toward affordable flying. The press caption misidentifies it as a "baby glider-plane," but the aircraft is correctly identified as a powered monoplane. A rare aviation collectible with connections to Roosevelt Field history and early ultra-light aircraft.
