This genuine 1935 press photograph captures Joan Helen Jebbett of Coventry, England, who at just 14½ years old was believed to be Britain’s youngest flying club member. Taken at Whitley Aerodrome near Coventry, the image shows Jebbett in the cockpit, preparing for one of her 30 logged flights.
