Original black-and-white real photo postcard, published by Jerome Ltd. (stamped back, series 11 60), dating from the 1930s. The photograph shows a close-up view of a sailplane, with the long, slender wing dominating the frame and part of the fuselage and nose visible at right. The glider rests in a grassy field with hangars and trees in the background. A banner in the distance is partially legible, suggesting a club or event setting.

The choice of framing highlights the extended wingspan characteristic of interwar sailplanes, documenting both the aerodynamic design advances of the period and the visual impact of glider flight. Jerome Ltd., a British publisher, was active in producing photographic postcards of cultural, sporting, and technological subjects in the early to mid-20th century.

The reverse side remains unused, with the Jerome Ltd. imprint clearly visible.

This postcard is significant as a period photographic record of British gliding activity during the interwar years, offering collectors and aviation historians a close technical perspective on sailplane construction.
