Original 1937 press photo documenting a National Socialist Flyers Corps (NSFK) glider baptism ceremony in Hasenheide, Berlin. Presided over by Gruppenführer Sauke, this event marked the christening of ten training aircraft—part of Nazi Germany’s effort to rebuild airpower under the guise of sport aviation. These symbolic ceremonies promoted national pride while advancing paramilitary pilot training in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. The image shows uniformed participants and swastika-emblazoned gliders. Includes typed caption and "Weltbild Berlin" press stamp dated July 6, 1937—an important artifact of pre-WWII German aviation history.
